Don Bosco Buterere organized for 205 children (51 girls and 154 boys) a competition in writing and drawing pictures in child protection policy on the theme of child abuse. The purpose of the competition was to help the children to recognize some forms of child abuse namely physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and neglect. It was an opportunity to assess whether children had assimilated their rights and also to help them to recognize some forms of child abuse in writ-ing and drawing pictures. The children were divided into three groups, the first was composed of children under 7 years, the second group was composed of children under 13 years and the last group was composed of children under 17 years. Each group was given 45 minutes to draw pictures. Twenty two animators supervised the children while they were drawing. The challenge which we got during the competition was that most of the children failed to draw the child who was emotionally and psychologically abused
